physical descriptions:

First Lieutenant Bay is quite an average man when it comes to appearances. He has short black hair which almost never appears brushed or combed, and stunning ice-blue eyes. For his age, Charlie's quite a tall young man who tends to be quite clumsy, and even though he eats like a pig he's always been extremely thin. Even though he appears to be quite a weakling, he's an amazingly skilled swordsman; almost unrecognisable from the clumsy giant he usually seems to be. When he's not on-duty and wearing his blue military uniform, Charlie usually wears a white collared shirt with a grey jacket and pin-striped black pants.

There are two things that you need to know about Charlie Bay. One, he's a pretty nice guy. Two, he goes crazy when he sees blood; he goes completely nuts. Fortunately, if quickly detained, he calms back down to his normal self. Once he's returned to normal, he doesn't remember anything that's passed since he saw the blood. Over-all, the Lieutenant is a very warm and enjoyable person to be around. Though he's not really the talkative type, he quite enjoys the company of others. Because of a slightly OCD attitude about hygien and cleanliness, his house is always neat, as is the office he shares with his fellow soldiers.

From a young age, Charlie Bay was raised to serve his country.
The boy’s father was an Ishbalan War hero, and his mother a successful business-woman; they spared no expense in his training. By age seven he had mastered sword-fighting, and could wield a gun more expertly than even his father. Following in his elder brother’s footsteps, Charlie enrolled in military training camp at the minimum allowed age of fifteen years. He passed the military’s most grueling test with honors, and was assigned to a unit in Eastern City, where he remains to this day.

Since that time, he’s risen through the ranks to the seat of First Lieutenant, a feat which many believed impossible once his Hemophobia, or “fear of blood”, was diagnosed. He takes prescribed anti-psychotics, but they have proven themselves to be quite unreliable; sometimes he doesn’t react, but other times they don’t even seem to affect him in the least.
